Meet Deva Simmons
A native of Brooklyn, NY, Deva relocated to Florida in 1995 and has proudly called Polk County home since 2002. With over 20 years in education, she has dedicated her life to empowering students and families through learning, mentorship, and community engagement.
Her commitment to service extends far beyond the classroom. Deva has served on the Board of the Boys & Girls Club of Lakeland, is a proud sponsor of the AGB Museum of Art, and volunteers with kidsPACK, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®, and Polk County Schools.
Now, Deva is stepping up to serve on a greater level — as a candidate for U.S. Congress, District 18.
